La Boquilla (Cartagena) – this is a popular beach northeast of old Cartagena, which has a Miami Beach-like feel, due to the presence of beachfront condominiums and all-inclusive resorts here. Members of the local nouveau riche hang out here. Since this beach has one of the widest stretches of sand in the city, La Boquilla is also used to host parties, concerts and sporting events like beach volleyball and football.
