Museo Oro del Perú (Alonso de Molina 1100, Monterrico, Surco, Lima) – a local benefactor (Miguel Mujica Gallo) founded this interesting museum in 1968. It contains a vast collection of mostly-pre-Inca gold pieces and artifacts. That, as well as an array of weapons (from swords to guns) decorated in gold, diamonds and other previous metals & objects (reflecting the times and cultures from which they came). Admission: Admission: S/. 33 (adult), S/. 16 (children under 11 years). Hours: 10:30 am – 6 pm (daily).
