Museo Nacional (Carrera 7 #28-66, Bogotá) – located within a one-time prison, visitors to this museum (the oldest in Colombia) have the opportunity to see artifacts from various historic periods – from the pre-Columbian era to the Spanish colonial period, as well as more recent times. Such artifacts include photos, maps, paintings, documents and weapons.
Free admission. Hours: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (Tuesday – Saturday), 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (Sunday). Closed on Mondays.
