Museo Metropolitano de Lima (Av. 28 de Julio e/Av. Garcilaso de la Vega, Lima) – this museum, through the use of 2D, 3D, and even 4D films, and other high-tech methods, visitors are given a tour of Lima’s history (which goes back over 10,000 years). With the 20 or so halls that this museum has, visitors are transported to the various periods of the Peruvian capital’s history – going from the pre-Hispanic era, to the Spanish colonial period, independence, and the 20th & 21st centuries. Admission: S/. 11 (adult), S/. 6 (senior, disabled, and university students) S/. 3 (children). Hours: 9:30 am – 5 pm (Tuesday – Sunday).
