Museum of the Convent of San Francisco (Jirón Lampa y Ancash, Lima) – located in the historic district of Lima (the country’s capital), the Museum of the Convent of San Francisco de Asi’s of Lima is composed of the Convent (just a block fro the Palace of the Government). A major attraction here is the catacombs – a series of underground passages where graves of Lima’s deceased prominent citizens are located (an estimated 25,000 individuals). Guided tours are available in English & Spanish, which usually last 90 minutes. Admission: S/. 7 (adult), S/. 3.50 (children). Hours: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm.
