La Nonna di Lucca (Rua Gaivota 687, Moema, São Paulo) – this is one of the city’s most popular Italian restaurants, located in the upscale Moema district. The décor is intimate and cozy, especially during winter. The main event on the menu is the spaghetti al formaggio, tossed at the table inside a massive wheel of aged parmesan cheese. Though perhaps not the best for a first date, it’s an excellent choice for anniversaries and an all-round memorable experience.
