Kylin Sky Bar (T 302, 3rd Floor, Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, Delhi) – this is Delhi’s largest sky lounge. Perched on the third floor of Vasant Kunj’s Ambience Mall, the lower level stars the usual Japanese restaurant trappings, but an ascent up a slatted staircase yields Sky Bar. This new opening poses a triple threat to the capitals’ outdoor stalwarts. For a start it looks great, an airy deck swathed in billowy fabric and enough subtle accents to really bring home the Japanese theme. Plus Kylin serves sumptuous sushi, as well as larger Teppanyaki plates. If that weren’t enough of a draw, the cocktails are top-notch. Despite soaring temperatures, large outdoor coolers keep things pleasant, making Sky Bar a pretty great summer spot for sipping sakétinis while grazing on a fresh prawn and basil salad.
