El Campín Stadium
Estadio El Campín (Carrera 30 y Calle 57, Bogotá) – this is the main stadium in Bogotá. Inaugurated in 1938, it went through renovations in 2010-2011, and has a capacity of 36,343 (for football games) and 41,683 (for concerts). It is the home arena for local football teams Independiente Santa Fe and Millionarios. The stadium got its name because it’s located on a former camping site. Among the international rock & pop acts that have done concerts there were Paul McCartney, Shakira, Lady Gaga, The Foo Fighters, One Direction, Sean Paul & Don Omar, Luis Miguel, Chayanne, Black Eyed Peas, and the Pet Shop Boys, among others.
